Lovely lidded bin in quite large size - used in the past for storage grease or canned meat in fat. Made in late 40s of enamel. We wrapped its exterior in a layer of chalk paint in old white color, hand distressed and sealed with wax. Its exterior should not be soaked in water, only wipe with wet cloth, though its interior hold water without any problem, as it is not painted.
It would be magnificent trash bin, indoor planter on just as a display case in your farmhouse / country premises, especially filled with fresh flowers :) Gorgeous handmade and naturally distressed areas, naturally wear, consistent with age and use - we can find bumps, some minor rust occur here and there.
