We are happy to present gorgeous, textured surface wood plaque in beige / yellow tones - in the fresco style. We intentionally left its back unfinished in order to show what kind of artwork we made - for you!
Wooden surface is featuring motives, similar to those that adorned the walls of French chateau during the Rococo/Baroque period.
Plaques are done with homemade paint, it took a lot of time and patience to make them - but it was definitely worth it! We were guided & inspired by ancient items with very rich patina.
Hand casted plaster figurine of two putty angels / cherubs share fire in torches, which represents light and hope; coated with faded faux gilding.
We wanted to recreate the effect of an old walls and statues, so the final product is very similar to this - imperfect figurines and distressed surface. When create these beauties, we strive far from perfection, as we just love their shabby look :)
We achieved the desired effect - a new work of art in the style of antiques with timeworn rustic character.
We used only natural material of high quality; work of art is sealed for long durability & protection, but not water resistant.
Beautiful plaques combine elements of antique artifacts, ancient painting techniques and artificial aging skills. It definitely matches the modern interior, of course - as long as its color suits you :)
It is almost impossible to recreate any of them, so you will be proud of your one of a kind plaque with deep touch of a past; it may rest on your cabinet or on your wall - it will surely enchance your home :)
