Gorgeous one of a kind antique French mannequin, hollow, but still very sturdy. Handmade around 1900s of many paper layers (like papiermache) and wrapped in linen fabric (hand sewn on sides). Lovely narrow slim waistline. Dress form is attached on the stand with primitive wooden stick, whic does not hold the form firmly enough, so there is a slight wobble. Hand carved oak wooden stand. Rare example of our past! It is in stunting vintage condition with many sign of wear. We can find linen tears, many discolored areas, stained and dark spots on fabric, many naturally distressed areas everywhere - on wooden stand, fabric, papiermache. Bust is with a slight hollow due to improper storage. Wooden stand can be removed, so mannequin can be used on tabletop.
