We have stunting finding here - gorgeous cast iron kitchen scale, made in Art Nouveau period between 1880 - 1900 in Germany. Tripod shape scale is with incredible ornate surface and details, please, check all pics with care as there are many wonderful details to see.
The makers mark on the enamel face is already faded, distressed. Only a few letters can still be seen on rusty dial, but it could be deduced from the external appearance that the scale is made by Wirthschafts. They were known for artistic detailing and we are truly fortunate to have found such a rare example.
Old beauty is in deep vintage condition and completely covered with rust; it is just beautiful!
It was built up to weigh up to 10 kg; it does not work any more but old lady is ready to enjoy as great supplement for your farmhouse kitchen display shelf or displayed in bakery / restaurant.
